Ahead of the 2023 general election, a civil society organisation, Conscience for Human Rights and Conflicts Resolution (CHRCR) has urged the critical stakeholders to help fight corruption of any form during the electioneering period.

Despite efforts by the Government of Sierra Leone (GoSL), education outcomes for many children have been low. While enrolment rates have increased^[1] with the introduction of Free Quality School Education (FQSE) in 2018, literacy and numeracy outcomes have only marginally improved for many reasons. Such decline, according to the 2021 Sustainability Index(CSOSI) Report which was launched yesterday in Accra was weakening the financial base of CSOs in the country.
