Applications are now open for the Junior Professionals Program, an opportunity for qualified, professional women in West Africa to transform their passion for international relief and development work into a career with Catholic Relief Services. Over a 12-month period, each Junior Professional will build core skills while working alongside experienced staff and supporting critical programs. Junior Professionals will benefit from strong mentoring and regional networking as they prepare for positions of greater responsibility with CRS.

Points North Institute in collaboration with Kickstarter has announced the North Star Fellowship to support four innovative media artists and filmmakers from underrepresented backgrounds who are developing projects that span the latitudes of creative nonfiction. Fellows gather for one week on the coast of Maine, leading up to the 19th edition of the Camden International Film Festival. A series of workshops, screenings, meals and excursions create time and space for an ongoing critical dialogue about expanded documentary aesthetics, representation, radical collaboration, the context of research, and more.
The Nature Justice is accepting applications for the Emergency Fund to promote respect for and enhance the protection of African Environmental Defenders working on land and environmental issues, by providing urgent emergency support to defenders throughout Africa. The NGOs established the ‘African Environmental Defenders Emergency Fund’ to support environmental and land defenders who find themselves in emergency situations due to the nature of their work.
The Pathways Communication Grants Program seeks to ensure that scientific contributions supporting the development of pathways for sustainability reach relevant audiences beyond the scientific community. To promote wider uptake and understanding of pathways for sustainability, the grant supports the dissemination of scientific findings of place-based research projects via innovative formats and practices.

The Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) is now accepting proposals to develop a National SLCP Plan and a National Methane Roadmap that will inform Niger’s 2025 Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) update, accompanied by workshops and trainings on mitigation SLCPs across relevant sectors. This project responds to a request made by General Directorate for the Environment and Sustainable Development of the Ministry in charge of the Environment to build capacity across relevant ministries to assess and reduce short-lived climate pollutant (SLCP) emissions.
