Artistic practitioners and cultural producers working in all creative fields, anywhere in the world, are encouraged to apply to Forecast’s international mentorship program with projects that could benefit from the expertise of one of this edition’s mentors and their unique approach to material and knowledge production.

The mentors in Forecast’s 2023–24 edition engage with practices that highlight the autonomy of creative endeavors, and emphasize the significance of independent art-making in today’s deeply politicized climate of cultural production and its reception.

Tactical Tech is an international NGO that engages with citizens and civil-society organizations to explore and mitigate the impacts of technology on society. They have a series of projects—The Data Detox Kit, The Glass Room, What the Future Wants, and the Digital Enquirer Kit—that aim to increase digital and media literacy among various audiences (including but not limited to: civil society, community hubs, institutes, educators, librarians, young people).

The Climate Story Fund is now open to support compelling storytelling and impact campaigns from around the world that move us closer to a climate just and biodiverse future. The Climate Story Fund prioritizes climate stories centering the most affected, the unengaged and the underrepresented, and puts them at the center of the story. The Fund also prioritizes storytellers working in and from those communities, sharing narratives that resonate deeply with new and unengaged audiences, bringing them into critical conversations around climate justice.

The Front Line Defenders is currently accepting nominations for the 2023 Front Line Defenders Award for Human Rights Defenders at Risk. The purpose of the Award is to give visibility to HRDs who are not normally acknowledged or recognised at the international level. At the same time, the Award should not bring additional risk for which the HRD is not prepared.
